REGULARLY SCHEDULED TOWNSHIP MEETINGS AND EVENTS
SUPERVISORS MEETINGS are held on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Damascus Township Municipal Building, Conklin Hill Road, Damascus, PA. Please contact the Township Secretary in writing at least 5 working days prior to the meeting to be placed on the agenda.
PLANNING COMMISSION The Damascus Township Planning Commission holds regular meetings on the second Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm at the Damascus Township Municipal Building. At the regular meetings submitted plans are reviewed and processed. Plans must be received at the Township Municipal Building at least 13 days prior to the regular meeting for discussion at the meeting. Work meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM at the Damascus Township Municipal Building. At work meetings plans are not reviewed, but items such as ordinance revisions are discussed. Click HERE for more information about the Planning Commission. Contact the Township Secretary to submit plans to the Planning Commission.
ZONING HEARING BOARD - First Tuesday of each month as needed at 7:00 p.m. at the Damascus Township Municipal Building, Conklin Hill Road, Damascus, PA. Hearing requests for appeals and variances must be made at least 3 weeks prior to the hearing date. Contact the Zoning Officer for application details. PARK COMMISSION - 4th Thursday - 7:00 PM at the Damascus Township Municipal Building, Conklin Hill Road. Help improve our parks - Playground - Nature Trails - Etc. Your ideas and support are needed!
DAMASCUS FOOD PANTRY - Damascus Township hosts the Wayne County Food Pantry on the Third Thursday of each month from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Damascus Township Community Center. Please call the Municipal Building if you need more information (570) 224-4410. If you have an emergency need for food, you may contact your local church or contact any county human services offices by calling the Wayne County Courthouse at (570) 253-5970. If you wish to donate to the pantry, please call the Township Office at (570) 224-4410. Check the Wayne County Food Pantry web page for more information.
WAYNE COUNTY RECYCLING, DAMASCUS - A Recycling container is at
Damascus Township Municipal Building from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon on the Second
Saturday of every month. There is also a waste hauler truck for items that are
not recyclable on-site and can take your garbage for a small fee. Call for
