2016 SUPERVISORS FOR A DAY The Board of Supervisors of Damascus Township hosted the annual Damascus Township Supervisors For A Day program involving four eighth grade students from the Damascus Area School, chosen by school officials. History teacher Peter Casazza coordinated the effort with the Township Supervisors. Pictured are (L-R) Supervisor Dan Rutledge, Student Phillip Gombita, Student Tedra Harrison, Student Macey Rutledge, Student Tyler Gries, Supervisor Chairman Joe Canfield and Supervisor Vice-Chairman Steve Adams. Mr. Casazza praised the Supervisors for the opportunity for students to experience and interact with the functioning of local government, and said that this was the only program of this type for students that he was aware of.
