COVID-19 MESSAGES - WHAT IS OPEN IN DAMASCUS TOWNSHIP?
THE TOWNSHIP OFFICE IS OPEN ON A LIMITED BASIS. Anyone exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 such as cough, shortness of breath or a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher, will be denied access to Townshp buildings and facilities. The number of people allowed inside the buliding is limited to effect social distancing. Face masks are required for anyone entering the building.
SUPERVISORS MEETINGS AND PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING ARE RUNNNING AS SCHEDULED. Numbers of people in the bulding are restricted based on available space to maintain social distancing.
DAMASCUS MANOR COMMUNITY CENTER - Coronavirus has made 2020 a year like no other for our Damascus community. In light of the current situation, the DMCC Board voted on May 21, not to sponsor any events in the 2020 year and not to offer the community center premises for rent. Although this is unfortunate, and might disappoint some in our community, it is determined the most responsible means of proceeding. We will post any changes should events warrant reconsideration. OUTDOOR FACILITIES ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Walking trails, playground, ball field, and pavilion are open to the public, but no rentals are presently being booked. Damascus Forest is also open. The public using these facilities should practice social distancing and are responsible for their personal safety. Facilities will not be cleaned or sanitized by the Township. It is your responsibility to sanitize the facilities before you use them. It is also your reponsibility to leave the facilities in a clean and pristine condition so that others may enjoy the facilties.
