Supervisors For A Day 2006

Students of the Damascus School participated in the Township's annual Supervisor For A Day program. This program continues to be a success thanks to Howard Schuchman, the Zoning Hearing Board Chairman and Program Coordinator, and Mr. and Mrs. Conroy of the Damascus School for coordinating the program for the students.

The students participating in this public relations program between the Damascus School and the Township get a sense of democracy in action. These young adults spent a day with the Supervisors and the Township Secretary in the township, learning about local government and the different aspects of the roll of the government. They then attended and actively participated in the monthly meeting. The students this year are pictured below during a guided tour of Bedrock Quarry.
